Waiting for..

The thought that I'll be staying longer than the people I started this path with bothers me because it entails constant justification and explanation of my perfectly legit reasons to the powers that be for extending my time here, but at the same time, embarking on a second major does excite me so far. Today's lecture on Paleolithic Art and Stonehenge wasn't entirely new to me, but it did make me realize that it is something that appeals to my predilection for erstwhile useless/random nuggets of trivia. It might be that this IS the direction I am most suited to follow, after all.

Japanese 201 was a lot easier than I anticipated, but I'll stay on for two reasons. Firstly, I need practice because I've gotten rusty, and it does feel beneficial in that aspect. Secondly, I need room to progress if I want a minor, because if I were to take 301 or 401, I wouldn't be able to take 18 JPN credits due to the limited number of courses. This class has entertainment value, anyway.

Meh. Rambling. Not even sure what the point to this entry is, to be honest. I guess I just wanted to sort something out. I'll cut it here.

So I decided to drop the COM101 retake because it was not worth putting in an extra 4 credit hours of research in the space of 6 weeks when I was already a major.

I ended up taking....

This week's listening assignment? To listen to Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and KISS. The prof brought his axe and played from time to time, too.

That's right. I FINALLY cleared my desktop. :O

There's no room in my Fall schedule for NTR, once again. I feel quite sian now.

There are two courses I absolutely have to take next semester – Art History, and Japanese. I cannot delay the commencement of my second major any further, and I need that language requirement. Shimojo also advised that if I wanted a minor in Japanese, I'd probably have to end up taking two non-language JPN modules to meet that requirement since I probably am not staying another 6 semesters from this Fall.

No matter which Japanese course I choose, I can't fit the afternoon NTR course in, anyway, because there are only 10 minutes between those two classes either way, and they're on separate fucking campuses. Diu.

Janeen the advisor also told me to go for a COM elective, my writing requirement, and American Pluralism in place of NTR if I can't fit it in.

The cool thing is, I probably will not have to worry about my humanities/history requirement, since JPN 301 will take care of that next Fall.

Looks like I'll be taking NTR next Spring or Summer instead. Or any semester where the classes do not clash with my COM, AHI, or JPN classes, for that matter. ...which probably still points to Summer.

Bah.

Going on an XKCD spree when I really should be napping before raid is bad.
